 Coastal Community Surfari
Earth Sessions has partnered with 'WAVES for Development' to attract volunteers for their unique 'Community Development Surfing Project' in Peru. Surfers with a conscience, a thirst for adventure and a desire to surf uncrowded, incredibly long waves are invited to participate in the 2 or 4-week programs.

The coast of Northern Peru and its world-class surfing conditions attract people from all over the world. Sadly, coastal communities benefit very little from this surf tourism and continue to suffer from limited educational and economic opportunities.

WAVES for Development, a not-for-profit association, believes that 'bringing together Water, Adventure, Voluntourism, Education and Sustainability (the WAVES acronym) provides an innovative solution'. Surfing and sustainable development meet in Educational Surf Programs for disadvantaged youth. International volunteers and local youth build personal and social skills and learn the value of environmental conservation while sharing the surf experience.

'Life is better with WAVES'

Following the success of the Pilot projects in February and July 2008, dates have been added for October 2008 and into 2009.

WTC Women's Pro Tour
Earth Sessions and WAVES are organising a program in Lobitos to co-incide with the WTC Women's Pro Tour www.aspworldtour.com/ to be held in nearby Mancora and Lobitos (surf permitting) between Nov 3rd and Nov 8th.

Planned activities include swimming and surf lessons for local students, conservation, English, construction projects and social entrepreneurship to help disadvantaged youth into the future.
