 Earth Sessions - Ethical Adventures
Volunteer, Research or Study Abroad with Earth Sessions
Earth Sessions develops and supports wildlife research, conservation and community development projects in developing countries. Places are available in 2011 on two unique and challenging research  and community projects in remote parts of Ecuador and Peru...
Earth Sessions works in partnsership with the Valle Hermosa (Beautiful Valley) Kichwa community in a remote part of the Ecuadorian Amazon. Only accessible by a 200km flight into the Amazon, the remoteness  of the location and  the wildlife are second to none. The project focuses on community development and wildlife research projects, in an attempt to help preserve 53 000 hectares of primary rain forest, through offering volunteer and research expeditions  deep into the heart of the Ecuadorian Amazon. The project provides the Valle Hermosa community with employment, education, litercay, nutrition,  transport, water, accommodation and energy solutions.

The remote location provides unique opportunities for wildlife
research, conservation biology, wildlife photography and  GPS mapping and GIS projects. Pavacachi is a huge unspoilt tract of Primary Forest, and provides the chance to see, photograph and study some of the rarest and most cryptic wildlife in the Amazon, such as Anacondas, Jaguar, River Dolphins and Spider Monkeys. We have previously hosted studies for the London Natural History Museum, undergraduate, Masters and Phd students and volunteers. Our overall goal is to preserve the forest and improve the lives of the indigenous community. Get involved...
A Community Development volunteer opportunity with a difference - combine surfing with sustainability. Assist the youth from a Peruvian desert fishing community to gain access to the world's longest waves, right in their own backyard, previously unattainable due to poverty! Our project partners 'WAVES for Development' have been donated 400 new surfboards, and we help to implement their community development programs focusing on swimming, surfing, conservation, nutrition, English language, arts and crafts and social entrepreneurship, while surfing remote uncrowded waves! The project offers the unique opportunity for volunteers to Surf or Learn to Surf, study Spanish, teach English, help with construction projects and customise your own involvement  to improve the lives of the local community.
